Born from the spirit and passion of ten young choreographers and performers, Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique continues to grow and develop, with you and for you. Inspired by the solidarity and implication that the community has shown while the Regroupement québécois de la danse was working on the Plan directeur de la danse professionnelle, driven by the support and the involvement of our members—most of them are part of this program—we are impatient to start this twenty-fifth season with you by our side. For the occasion, we have different events planned: new collaborations with local and foreign organizations, a new version of the Faces of Dance and, along the lines of the Triptych project, the first in a series of artistic exchanges with Barcelona [BCN_MTL]. This is the perfect opportunity to introduce some Spanish flavour into the 2011-2012 season, by inviting a handful of teachers who were either born there, or have chosen to live there—such as Iñaki Azpillaga, Laura Arís Alvarez, Jorge Jáuregui, and Iris Heitzinger. A varied program that, I hope, will meet your needs and your goals for advanced training and discovery. Thank you again, for being there, in great numbers and with great enthusiasm!
